ScotPAG recently sent a letter (link here) to Jenni Minto, challenging her statement which denied that Scottish schools were promoting the concept of gender ideology and teaching it as fact. We provided facts and clear evidence that gender ideology is indeed being taught and promoted in our schools (link here to previous blog).
We have sight of various responses from the Scottish Government representatives who work for us, to parents, professionals, and MSPs. Over the next 3 weeks, we will highlight these letters and highlight the various similarities in letters that concerned members of the public are currently receiving.
We will provide our first example at the end of this blog. We know from other organisations and individuals that they have received exactly the same replies to related but different concerns. A close reading of Jenny Minto’s response to ScotPAG's letter shows that there is no acknowledgement of any of the concerns that were highlighted by us. This is despite the fact that we are a group of highly experienced professionals in health, education, and social work, with significant expertise and knowledge in working with, and supporting, children and families.
We can only conclude that we have a government that is refusing to engage with its constituents in any meaningful way, and who give the impression of arrogance, wilfulness, and deliberate obfuscation. By using a misguided concept that children’s rights include autonomous decision-making, they disregard a vast body of research and knowledge pertaining to children’s cognitive capacity to make genuinely informed decisions. We therefore warn parents in Scotland: This Scottish Government cannot be trusted, and they have created a serious child safeguarding issue.
Please download, read, and share the letters below, to and from Jenni Minto
